Itinerary in high altitude over glaciers and peaks of Adamello, following many traces of the First World War, like the Cannon on Cresta Croce and the Rifugio Caduti dell’Adamello. Numerous glaciological issues, created by the erosion of the glaciers, complete this scenic environment, full of interesting aspects.
Technical description
DAY ONE: meet up in Malé, by the Ufficio Guide, and transfer to Passo del Tonale or directly to the cable car station Paradiso in Passo del Tonale. We reach Passo Presena with the cable car (2990m), descend to Rifugio Mandrone (2449m). Here, we start climbing up to Mandrone glacier and Cresta Croce (3305m). We descend to Rifugio Lobbia Alta – Caduti dell’Adamello (3000m). Dinnero and overnight stay.
DAY TWO: we descend to Mandrone glacier on a path, until we reach Rifugio Mandrone and then go up again to the cable car, in Passo Presena.

Individual fee – 1 person = 630 euros, 2 people = 350 euros, 3 people = 250 euros, 4 people = 200 euros, 5 people = 180 euros
Not included in the fee: the half board for the overnight stay, the cable car tickets, the half board of the Guide, around 30 euros (which will be taken care of by participants).
It’s possible to rent the equipment: crampons, ice axe and harness.
