Zone Ortles Cevedale
Itinerary in high altitude, which reaches the summit of one of the most desired mountains of the Ortles Cevedale area and Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio. Glaciers’ crossing included.
Technical description
DAY ONE: departure from Malga Mare in Val di Pejo – Rifugio Larcher – ascent to one of the peaks surrounding the hut – brief overview of self-aid techniques and progression on the glacier – overnight stay at the hut.
DAY TWO: ascent to Monte Cevedale by crossing de La Mare’s glacier – back to Malga Mare.
Elevation gain: +800m/+1000m (day one); +1200m (day two).
Specific equipment is provided by the school of alpinism.
