Zone Adamello Presanella
Wild route which goes up the Alpe dei Pozzi Alti among vertical granitic walls, where it’s possible to see ibexes.
Technical description
While walking up the Alpe Pozzi, the environment changes. At first, we can see larches and pine trees, then it transforms into pastures and high-altitude habitat, with a strong footprint left from the glaciers. Once reached the pass, we can enjoy the wonderful landscape over Val Stavel and the northern wall of Cima Presanella, with its eternal ice.
We climb down to Rifugio Denza (it’s possible to have lunch at the hut) and come back to the path which will take us back to Pozzi Alti
