A historically interesting hike, which partially retraces some military walkways (dating back to the First World War).
The route follows slopes and ridges, offering wonderful overviews of the peaks and valleys around.
Technical description
The itinerary starts from Ospizio di San Bartolomeo and follows the lines of connection between different forts of the First World War; we climb up to Forte Zaccarana and until the Città Morta, from which we can enjoy an amazing overview of Presanella and Gruppo Ortles Cevedale. Then, we ascend to the scenic Monte Tonale Orientale. The descent along Alpe del Tonale will take us back to the Passo
