Zone Ortles Cevedale
It’s a classic. One of the most beautiful hikes in high mountain of the group Ortles-Cevedale, traced on the ridge which divides Lombardy from Trentino, theatre of the First World War.
Technical description
In the afternoon we climb up to Doss dei Gembri (2380m) with the cable car (tickets not included), then we follow a military path which will take us gradually to Rifugio Vioz (3535m). Dinner and overnight stay.
On the second day we climb up to Cima Vioz (3645m) and then, by crossing the glacier over the ridge, we reach Palon de la Mare (3703m) to Bivacco Rosole (3470m) and Cima Cevedale (3769m). Then, we keep crossing the ridge and reach Zuffalspitze (3757m), where we start descending – on the ridge or in channels, depending on the conditions of the snow – towards Rifugio Larcher (2607m). We come back to Malga Mare and Cogolo, by car.

Info
Individual fee – 1 person = 500 euros, 2 people = 300 euros, 3 or more people: 200 euros.
Not included in the fee: the half board for the overnight stay, the cable car tickets, the half board of the Guide (which will be taken care of by participants).
It’s possible to rent the equipment: crampons, ice axe and harness.
