Trekking dell'Ortles Cevedale tra Trentino e Alto Adige

• DAY ONE: 8.30 meet up with the Mountain Guide to check the equipment. Then, we move by public transport to Val di Rabbi. The route starts on forest roads, at first, and then it follows a path, crossing woods of larches and fir trees. We walk by some huts, getting out of the woods and entering wide mountain meadows, to the base of Cima Quaira. Dinner and night stay at the hut (2435m).

• DAY TWO: CIMA COLLECCHIO – we climb up a clear path, in an open space, overcoming different rocky slopes until Cima del Collecchio (2957m), located on the line between Val Montechiesa and Val Saent. After a scenic section on an easy ridge, the trail runs downhill along the side of the mountain, to reach Val Saent. Dinner and night stay at the hut (2436m).

• DAY THREE: CIMA ROSSA DI MARTELLO – gradually we climb up to Passo di Saent (2965m) which divides Val di Rabbi from Val Martello, in an empty and rocky environment. From the Passo, descending through wide glaciers, we arrive in Punta Rossa di Martello (3033m), and from here until the hut we’re walking in Alto Adige. The location offers us wide overviews of mountain peaks of the area: Cevedale, Gran Zebrù, Ortles. Dinner and night stay at the hut (2610m).

• DAY FOUR: VEDRETTA DELLA FORCOLA – we climb up, walking on an easy path in the direction of Forcola’s Glacier. We keep on walking easily on the glacier, noticing the evident signs of the retreat of the glacier, especially on the final ridge (extremely steep) which leads us to Passo della Forcola (3032m). The descent on the opposite side of the mountain will take us back in Trentino. Dinner and night stay at the hut (2607m).

• DAY FIVE: VEDRETTA DEL CARESER – We start walking over an alpine pasture nourished by lakes, until we reach Diga del Careser (2603 m). We climb up the empty environment which surrounds us, to reach the foothills of the Careser glacier, which we cross to touch the eastern side (3121m). Then, we descend again towards Val Saent. Dinner and night spent in the hut (2436 m).

• DAY SIX: SAENT WATERFALLS – a pleasant and scenic descent, surrounded by marmots and rhododendron flowers. Once crossed the wide stretch of Pra di Saent, the path leads us among bridges and water games of the Saent waterfalls, the most stunning of Val di Sole. Then, we go back by bus to the parking lot.

Conditions of reservation

Group departures

The request of reservation will be taken in charge by our staff, who will contact you within 48 work hours to confirm. The actual departure of the group will be confirmed when the minimum number of people will be specified. If, within 21 days of departure, the number couldn’t be reached, there would be these possibilities:

• To use the deposit for another programme
• To confirm the departure with an inferior number of participants, adding an extra
• To convert the reservation to a self-guided program
• To cancel the reservation with a full refunding of the deposit

Private departures

The request of reservation will be taken in charge by our staff, who will contact you within 48 work hours to confirm. If the selected dates won’t be available, the possibilities will be the following:

• To use the deposit for another program
• To modify the date of arrival
• To cancel the reservation with a full refunding of the deposit

Conditions of payment

To proceed and confirm the reservation, a deposit will be requested (30% of the experience’s fee). The deposit will be processed 21 days before the arrival date. We accept credit card (Mastercard/Visa) or transfer.

Cancellation conditions

In case of cancellation, the following penalties will be applied.

• The 30% of the total price of the experience will be lost + eventual insurance, in case of cancellation within 45 days from the departure;
• The 70% of the total price of the experience will be lost + eventual insurance, in case of cancellation from 44 to 30 days within the departure;
• There won’t be any other refund.
