Exposed route over the ridges of Brenta group, we’ll spend the night at Bivacco Bonvecchio (2790 m), perfect for the lovers of a wild environment and not accessible paths. The descent will take place along the Val di Vento.
Technical description
Day One
Ascent to the Passo Grostè with the cable car. From the station we’ll follow the sentiero Vidi that goes along the rocky crags, through the Orti della Regina, reaching the Bocchetta dei Tre Sassi in Val Gelada (scenic window carved in the rock). The path goes on, next to the slopes of Sasso Alto, reaching the ridge of Cima Sassara where Bivacco Bonvecchio is located. The hut has 8 beds and a small water source outside.
Day Two
From the bivacco, through an exposed and poorly signposted path, treacherous for the steep slopes, we’ll reach the ridge of Monte Benon (2637). From here, we’ll keep on descending, passing by the Bivacco Costanzi and going towards Val del Vento, then Folgarida.
