Rifugio Caduti dell'Adamello

In the summer you can access the Caduti dell’Adamello alla Lobbia refuge from the valley floor of the Val di Genova (Pinzolo – Carisolo in the province of Trento) near the Bedole refuge (1641 m).

a) The most popular route climbs from Bedole to the Città di Trento refuge at Mandrone (2449 m) in 2.30 hours; it then continues along a well-signposted path towards the Mandrone glacier; cross it heading towards the western spur of Lobbia Alta, then climb a last steep stretch on the glacier to the refuge (3 hours from the Mandrone refuge). 5.30 hours

b) A second route climbs directly from Bedole to the Lobbia refuge passing by the Matterot basin, the Lobbia Vedretta up to the Lobbia Alta Pass near which the refuge is located. This route constitutes a real ascent of a mountaineering nature in a particularly severe and grandiose environment. The route has equipped sections, requires good mountain experience and a sure sense of direction. This itinerary should only be tackled in good weather, late in the season, starting early in the morning.
